    Prop shaft housing questions 1978 70hp johnson 70el78c

    Need info on repairs to the prop shaft bearing housing on 70el78c johnson outboard. I have a chip missing on the outside edge where the first bearing housing starts. Can it be repaired or must it be replaced. Also need place to buy. Thanks Mates

    Freeze plug number identification

    Hello Mates, I have an outboard motor that has no ID plate, the number on the freeze plug is J-2797091. I assume that the J stands for Johnson, but don't know, have looked for other plates. HELP
