    cheers... looks like the driveshaft won't be compatible but the prop shaft is.... which is my problem so I should be able to replace the prop and a new seal kit and bobs ya uncle..... any other thoughts greatly appreciated though :)

    Can i replace my lower unit with a used 40hp mercury lower unit I found for sale from the same era?
