    2012 merc 9.9 4stroke.. only idles withe choke on

    So I got this merc 9.9 4 stroke.2012 model...starts good runs good on throttle but as you start idling it dies.. if the choke is pulled slightly it's ok.. any ideas guys ?

    Warning horn. 96 johnson 90

    Can the warning horn in the throttle housing be converted to a light (DIY )...my hearing is shot and i need a visual warning. I know about the system check available from omc but is there a quick way of a warning light install ?

    1996 Johnson 90hp v4 not starting after sitting for a week

    Fires up pretty easy after sitting in the driveway all winter ( trim all the way down)but when I put it in the water and let it sit for a week (trim up) it will not start...I prime the fuel.fast idle on and hit the electric choke a few time..and it just cranks...no start... when I do eventually...

    96 V4 90 hp Johnson idling high

    The engine seems to be idling high... I can push the linkage so the idle screw contacts the stop and it idles fine..but as soon as I let it go the idle comes back up..seems like the advance linkage from under the flywheel is making it go up...how do I adjust this please. Thanks ... Ed

    On my 90hp v4 Johnson on serial # ID plate there is a "CE..followed by the #96...is this the yr of manufacturer ? Thanks Ed
