    Yamaha 6C friction plate.

    I have just bought a yamaha 6CMH 2002 6hp outboard. The steering is very loose. Can anyone advice on how to replace the friction plate please??? I have done this procedure on smaller yamahas 4hp before. They actually had a friction band/ collar. This setup looks different. Thanks up front.
