    Low power and backfire

    I have a 2002 VIP 2102 with a volvo penta 5.0 gl. It back fires under load seems like a lean condition. What controls the fuel pump output?

    Backfire under load.

    I have 2002 5.0 gl that backfires and loses power at cruising speed. Recently replaced head gaskets fuel pump and filter. Does not backfire at full throttle or idle. Does not back fire in neutral.
