    Prop shaft seal spins with prop shaft

    Did the seals on 83 Evinrude 35, even used some non hardening sealant and prop shaft water seal ( outer) spins when I turn shaft by hand? I think this may be a problem has anyone experienced this? I can see this thing burning up it appears to be seated all the way against the interior oil seal.

    does thrust washer fit in retainer plate- 1984 35 hp

    according to service manual it shows the only thrust washer on these lower units fits between bearing housing and retainer plate. Thrust washer is tapered on one side so to appears to sit in center of retainer plate. has anyone ever worked on 1984 Evinrude 35 hp and is placing it in retainer...

    Prop moves out 1/4 " when placed in Reverse ?

    1982 35hp Oil leaking out of water intake

    Am i correct to assume when water leaks out of water intake screen its drive shaft seal and when oil leaks out of hub its the hub seals? Going to check lower unit for water in oil this morning.

    This engine is killing me

    1982 35hp evinrude tiller hand start, with plugs removed reasonable pull start tension , with plugs in holy crap yanking my shoulders out of socket! Compression test both cylinders above 90 with maybe 3/4 revolution as I cant get it past the top point as compression is insane. Am I old or are...
