    4JH2HTE Baffling Black Smoke

    I am experiencing a very similar 4jh2-hte description, except there is no increase in oil volume. Engine starts readily. Cruises at 6.2 kts 1700 rpm. Won't exceed 1900 rpm under load, easily gets to 4000 rpm in neutral. Some black smoke at 1800-1900 top rpm. Any suggestions for next steps?
