    Mercury 125 Over revving

    I have a 99 Merc 125 2 stroke that is Over revving as soon as it starts...... I adjusted the idle screw all the way in (clockwise) and it solved the problem but now idles rough. Runs fine otherwise, and the throttles were closed while starting??

    Mercury 125 Idle problem

    First time out with boat (1999 model) and it ran great for first 15 mins. When I pulled the throttle back, it would not go into neutral. I thought it was the cable, but when I shut the motor off, it shifted back and forth fine. I tried to restart several times and the engine revved extremely...
