    water pump question

    I rebuilt a 2802R (2 hp) Evinrude for a friend. I know motors but not boat motors. The water pump instructions say "run the motor and check the cooling system operation by water spray from the idle relief hole" Could someone please tell me where this hole is? The driveshaft cover got pretty hot...
