    Should boat tach be checked with hand-held tach?

    Have Yanmar 4JH3-TE with about 350 hrs. Have type B panel. Max. rpms under load now is 3750 (max for engine acc. to Yanmar is 3800) according to boat tach. Not sure if this is close enough not to worry. I am not aware of any particular problems. Engine seems to idle best around 800 rpm...

    Additive needed to control moisture in diesel fuel?

    Have a Yanmar 4JH3-TE engine with about 350 hours. I keep both fuel tanks full all the time and generally find a very small amount (5 ml or less) of water in bottom of Racor fuel/water separator at end of the season. Given this, is there any need to use a fuel additive to remove small amounts...
