    No mechanic around me even wants to touch a Volvo, and the closest dealer is 4 hours way. Called them up, and they said they wouldn’t even attempt a rebuild as they would just swap in a replacement.

    my gear oil has metal particles in it due to the lower unit being broken, the gears on the top portion of the outdrive are ok, I’m just going to swap the lower unit with a used one. Although there is a lot of metal particles In the gear case. Any ideas on how I should flush it out before...
