    How do I manually lift or lower 225 4 stroke outboard

    All the information above about releasing the tilt is correct. I would like to suggest adding some hydraulic tilt fluid before you let the motor down . The tilt fluid port is found at the bottom of the tilt bracket. The motor must be in a up position to access the port .
