    Mercury 115 6cyl 1974 reed valve question

    Good morning, I have 1974 Mercury 115 hp inline 6. I suspect the reed valves my be worn. It has great compression. My question. Will an outboard 2 stoke engine preset good compression with worn out reed valve assemblies? These are the reed valve assemblies on the mains. Thanks.
