    linkage issues

    I have an 84 evinrude 70 hp that I can not get the throttle linkage correct. Short version, when the throttle is pulled back to neutral the engine revs to 3000-4000 rpm and I have to turn the ignition off to keep from damaging the engine. I have new throttle and shift cables recently installed...
