    shifting gets stuck in reverse hard to get out 1989 8 hp

    1989 evinrude 8hp model te8rlcec My motor gets stuck in reverse and is hard to get back out. seems to shift from neutal to drive fine. I had to turn propeller with hand to get out of reverse. what is wrong?
