    When I tip it, this is the best I can get out of slotted side. When I try to pull the other side out, the slotted side goes back down.

    Thanks for info, but, I'm about ready to force the dang thing, LOL, it is so close. I've tried about every angle I can, and I don't see anything else I can remove to make it come our. I'm probably within a 16th of inch from getting the darn thing out. I cannot swing up the slotted side very far...

    It hits the bottom of the float housing, arrow indicating where. It is soooo close but again, I do not want to force anything. Thanks

    I cannot seem to get it to turn up, hits the float housing. Any ideas?

    Older Mercury 45, (I think that is a 4.5 hp) Carburetor removal

    I am trying to remove the carburetor from this old outboard, I have removed the choke lever, and I cannot get the carburetor out. It is really close but I do not want to force anything. Any help would be appreciated.
