    Re: 2001 Mercury 40hp 4 stroke outboard with steering wheel & throttle box. Greetings! My throttle control sticks midway through acceleration and the engine stalls. "Sticks" might be not be the right term, I literally have to push very hard to get the throttle lever to continue accelerating...
