Molded Vinyl Connectors
All Sierra molded connectors are made of top quality vinyl with full gauge SAE grade wire.
The
precision formed terminals and full gauge wire ensure that your trailer lamps receive maximum
voltage for bright, steady operation.
4 Pole Flat Connectors
The 4 pole flat is the most common connector used on trailers. there are two styles:
UNSHROUDED
shrouded and unshrouded.
Trailer Side
Tow Vehicle Side
The newer shrouded style provides better protection against weather, dirt and moisture. The
unshrouded style usually is found on older trailers. They will connect to each other and can be
interchanged without difficulty.
The 4 color coded wires provide for three circuits PLUS ground. The color codes are as follows:
White
Ground
Brown
Tail, License, Marker Lamps
Yellow
Left Turn Signal/Stop Lamp
Green
Right Turn Signal/Stop Lamp
