Have a 2005 Nitro boat & trailer. Tire blew out last fish trip. Trailer has ST215/75 R-14 tires. They are radial. Fishing buddy has 2 new ST205/75 D14 bias tire he will give me. I understand you should not mix radials with bias tires. Could I use these tires for spare just to get home. Long distance, short distance??? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks |

Besides the construction being different, the tread width doesn't match. I'd used only "matched pairs". You could use the remaining radial as a low speed "fair weather" emergency spare, if needed (& another rim was available) but you won't find many people to endorse the idea (liability). I would NOT use it to make the trip home if it was 75 miles away on an interstate. |
