I have a 1996 yamaha 9.9 high thrust kicker. It ran perfectly for a few weeks after I bougfht it. Since then it willl start fine but after 2 min it would not rev and idled a bit rough. Pulled the carb and replaced and/or replaced all of the jets, replaced the coil and power pac. it now iddles very smoothly and will rev for about 10 minutes then the same problem. Maybe a blocked exhaust tube? Has some carbon build up inside the housing. Plugs were carboned up so were replaced. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

how were the float, needle and seat? did you check the needle and seat for leaks? check the float for 'extra' mass?
Were the plugs carboned up wet or dry? |
