I have a 1989 tandem axle Oklahoma with some sort of shock absorber in the hitch, seems to be worn as I get a "thunk" sound when braking or accelerating. Any idea where I can purchase a replacement? Thanks, MIke |

"Shock absorber in the hitch"???? Sounds like the surge brakes actuator. When they are not lubed well, they tend to "thunk" when activated - when you hit the brakes while towing the trailer. It's pretty normal. Look up "surge brake actuators" on the web. |
