New gas tank, New gas hose, New spark plugs. I took carb. off and cleaned it wasn't that dirty. Starts on 1st or 2nd pull sits there and idles, throttles up a little but not like it should.

is the spark advance link tied back to the throttle control? If so, does it move freely with throttle opening?

Have you checked to make sure the throttle plate linkage works, actually looking at the carb shaft to make sure it follows the control?

if that's ok - point gap verified as correct? if the dwell (point gap) isn't correct, it throws the ignition 'out of whack' - noticable at higher rpm.

last item comes to mind is fuel pump - you can squeeze the primer ball to simulate the fuel pump once you get it running. Don't be too agressive with the pressure as it may flood.
