An update...25 teams are already signed up and deposits paid! This will be an awesome and fun event with some great odds at winning some big money. Boys long weekend away! I'm already signed up. We could use a few more USA teams to join in the friendly competition.

Well just another update. 32 teams registered and only 23 more to sell out this $100,000 grand prize salmon tournament. If registration continues on pace it should sell out by mid April. Come on we need some more USA competion. Only a few American teams to date. There must be some good salmon fishermen down there who think they could outfish us Canucks! That is a challenge. As of March 24/09 we have 47 teams and only 8 more spots available and it will be sold out. This will be the only year that you can sign up and get in the tournament, as next year those who entered this year get first chance. Looks like a long waiting list for those who hesitate!

The tournament is not until Labour Day Weekend. Fishing is on fire right now! Lots of big kings, largest this week off our charter boat went 36 pounds. Caught by one of the Calgary Flames players. Hope the fishing is as good fot the tournament.

Well the tourney was a huge success!!! Calm seas all weekend. (all day long) The winning 2 member team took both 1st and 2nd for a $150,000.00 payday. Thy landed a 37.8 pound Chinook (king) on the Friday then went back to the same spot and depth Saturday and nailed a 40.5 pound Chinook. The 3rd place fish went 37.4 pounds and earned that team $25,000.00. The included 3 nights accommodations, food, beer, team jackets, shirts, hats etc all made for a memorable event. It was boys weekend away with 1 in 55 odds at winning big money! check it out at www.salmonclassic.ca
