I recently took on a job rebuilding a 2000 75hp Mercury 2 stroke. The powerhead needed to be bored and I was looking for a place to do it. I came upon a company in South Carolina on Ebay. (Ebay ID hobiesail) Phone #803-831-0643
I dis-assembled the powerhead and shipped it to them. They completed the work, were very helpful and had a fast turn around time. Figured this post might be helpful for someone looking to do the same. |

If anyone is interested, I have a Kwik-Way boring bar for sale. It comes with the air table as well.
It belonged to my brother who passed away in October. I no longer do rebuilds and have no use for it. They are very expensive new and his wife could use the money.
It is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make some money doing something most machine shops can't do.
It will do outboards with small bores of 3" or so, up to big blocks with a 4+" bore. |
