I have a Chrysler LM-318, which has a rubber tube running from the Valve Cover to the Spark Arrestor. I assume this is to further aspirate the carb. However, as I accelerate, an increasing volume of what appears to be exhaust gases pore from this hose also carrying with it a small amount of engine oil. Could this be from a stuck valve? |

The rubber hose is used to vent the crankcase into the carb. The increased gases with higher rpm is most likely from excessive pressure in the crankcase. The usual cause of this is blow-by past the piston rings, indicating worn rings or scored cylinder walls or both. |
