I just bought a pacemaker 28 ft.,the starboard engine has been a problem,I replaced manifolds,risers on both engines,I replaced raw water impellers. At 1500rpm it will run at 155 degrees,but as I increse the rpms the temp. will go to 190 200 degrees. The foward or highest part of the manifold is hotter than the lower part,the risers,elbows,and exhaust hosesare cool. What part does the oil cooler have in this situation.Need help |

I had one of my two inboard engines always overheating. I changed everything and it still overheated. Just the starboard 318. The final solution was to use a 454 (large heat exchanger).
This was after 2 years of craziness and expense. |
