I have a chysler 105 hp 1978 and has only done 350 hrs problem is the crankcase is cracked next to the water jacket which apparently is common can this be repaired as it would be a shame to throw it away |

Kevin..... It depends on exactly where the crankcase is cracked, a judgement call you'll need to make. Marine Tex in the "gray" color (not white) will repair a crack quite nicely, and that area will be stronger than the original casting.

I don't see that exact model number in the index that I have for Chrysler outboards... but I would guess it is 1982 or 83.

if I repaired completely the motor, change them 3 pistoneses, as I must use the motor initially in order that he fit up and as he is the gasoline and oil mixture that I must use.
my motor is a force 85 hp 1985 |
