Motor starts right up when cold after priming empty carb bowls and choking, runs fine. After sitting on lake fishing, seems like a no fuel issue on restart.Motor pops once and throws starter pinion out of flywheel, then stops popping and just cranks.Fuel bulb is hard.As soon as quick start is used, fires right up,or priming thru removed sparkplug.Compression is 110 all around, carbs rebuilt, clean plugs. If motor notshut off long it's a key tapper.Rebuilt fuel pumps.Frustrating,thanks. |

Have the stator ( charge coils ) checked by a shop. |

Cap, Check the spark plugs for signs of water; you may have a leaky head gasket. When you turn the engine off water can get into the cylinders in this situation. When the engine is cold, the water jackets are dry, so the engine starts before water can get in.
