1968 18' Fibercraft steel hulled boat with an unknown engine type. Hemi heads and the engine ID# is F1327429-2G. Need to know what I have to rebuild. Can anyone help? |

What end is the distribtor? I ran you #'s thru all of my Chrysler marine stuff and it did not show up. |

I checked your engine numbers in a AERA(Automotive Engine Rebuilders Association) manual and the engine block comes up as a 56-57 Plymouth car 277 cubic inch engine. This engine is what the old style 318 was based on. This is not a Hemi head engine. The heads were called polysphere combustion chambers, very similar to a big block chevy. You will have a hard time finding pistons for this engine. If you really want to rebuild it contact Egge Machine company in California, they can help with hard to find parts. |
