What is advantage of Duo Prop or Bravo 3 over the single prop Bravo 1? Is it cost effective? What is Bravo ll?

dual prop outdrives are better for larger boats in slow manuevering speeds. They also give a better "holeshot", but reduce top end speed (slightly) because of the drag of two props. Bravo one is designed for higher horsepower engines and ideal for the best top speed. Bravo II is designed for "cruisers", mainly 26' and up. Has very large diameter prop for pushing heavy boats, not designed for high speeds. Cost effectiveness and advantages depend on what kind of boat you are shopping for.

Daren, Thanks for the info. Looking at 26 to 28 ft. cruisers. They come combination of 5.7 or 7.4 ltr. with either Bravo l or Bravo lll drives. Depending on which salesman you talk to and which boat they are trying to get off the lot you get different opinions of which combination is best. Most popular seems to be 5.7 with Bravo lll. Is it worth the extra cash. I,m not looking for speed, I just want a nice riding boat. Am I going to be able to tell that much difference. Spicific boats would be Bayliner, Sea Ray, Rinker, Four Winns, Crownline.
Thanks again for info. MICKEY (confused)
