Aloha from Hawaii! I'm thinking about buying a 1979 Sea Ray 300 Express. Many owners ago the engines were changed but the current owner has no idea what they are. I was hoping one of you knowledgeable mariners might be able to identify it so I can make a more educated offer. This is what I know: it's a V-8 diesel, has "pleasurecraft Marine Engine" written on it and the model number according to the last survey is PX73HRL15. A Google search for that model number came up empty and the PCM website wasn't much help either. The data plate is bolted to the intake manifold, doesn't have a make listed and is almost impossible to read so I'm not sure about it's validity. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. I have a larger picture that I can email. Mahalo!
