In the UK marine diesel is currently 45p per litre compared to petrol at approx £1.25/1.30 per litre. From November next year the UK Gov't removes the tax break on red diesel which will see its price triple to the same level as petrol. Turning the clock forward 13 months i.e. when petrol and diesel are the same price.....What would be the recommendation when it comes to buying a 28-32 feet sports cruiser with twin engines.....are petrol engines a better choice than diesel or vice versa....With the obvious fuel cost advantage removed I would appreciate your comments on the practical benefits of one versus the other.....Thanks in advance. |
