Hi all
My name is James Fuller from Australia and I need some advise on Diesel Stern drives.
My father is getting a custom aluminium plate boat built next year, the boat will weigh approximately 2 tonnes and is required for offshore fishing.
We initially considered the Volvo penta D3-190 DPS however I have recently heard a worrying report from a coast guard about heat exchange problems
for a larger model.
Are Volvo's a one of the more reliable Diesel stern drives?
Other options in this area appear to be cummins and Steyr (based on service for my area).
Please assist as we want to ensure good value for money and safety is paramount on the water as you all know.
