59 CC port eng runs hotter than starboard.checked all, wp,timing,etc. water temp exit tube at head 130 F. both engines but exhaust outlet on manifold much hotter (paint discolors)where water tube dumps into exhaust. 40 50 F hotter than stb engine. Head temps average 130 F both engines. Both engines run good, idle good and easy start. I'm baffled. Leon |

Look for blocked passages in the risers.

Thanks Jeff. The riser I assume is the intake and exhaust water jacketed manifold. This be the case I'll pull it and check. During total restoration I pulled heads and lapped the valves but did not pull manifolds. |
