Does anyone with the Oldsmobile 455 provided by Berkeley Marine in their Pack-a-jet engines have any information on the original AC mechanical fuel pump that was used on these motors? This motor is a 1976 vintage motor.

The original marine duel-diaphragm pump on mine went bad some time ago and I can not find a suitable replacement or NOS marine approved mechanical fuel pump for the 455 or is there is anyone who rebuilds these? Right now I'm running an automotive one that I modified to accept the vent tube that went back to the carb.

I know I can go electric, but I'd prefer to stay mechanical.

Thanks, mark

try these guys:
http://remanufactured.com/Inboard_Marine_Engines.htm

They offer rebuilt 455's so they ought to have a supply of pumps. If not, bet they can give you a lead or two.

Thanks. I tried them and they don't have any fuel pumps and no idea where to get them. It's looking more and more that I'll to continue my current setup or go electric.

Last chance is auto racing but may help. He does carbs and transmissions:

cliff rugles
www.cliffshighperformance.com

Does a super job w Q-jets (marine, too) and has an affinity for pontiacs but nearly 30 years of connections.
