I would like to use a system like the newer bravos use for raw water pick on my alpha.(eliminate the impeller) the question is do I simply remove the alpha impeller once the engine driven pump is installed? will the new pump pull the water up through the original ( impeller slots) or do I need to put some sort of extra water pickup on the drive? |

Ayuh,......
You're Not Eliminating Anything,.....
Just Moving it from Underwater, Up to the engine bay.......
My Question is,...... Why,..??
If you Insist on this project,.....
Go to a Thru-hull for the Motor driven raw water pump,+ Remove the water Hose from the transom assembly, capping it off where it enters the hull....
Then you'll still need the impeller in the outdrive to run free, to cool the drive..... |
