Is it possible to replace a Yamaha Stern Drive (out drive)with a Mercruiser? If so, do you know anyone who specializes in this swap? Any information would be much appreciated.  |

Ayuh,....
I believe you'll find the the Hole in the boat is the same for Both drives,....
That said,....
You have to remove Everything from the driveline(motor included) that has anything to do with Yamaha,....
And,....
Replace it with Mercruiser components......
The Yamaha dressings on your motor Must be replaced with Merc. Dressings or it won't Ever work properly..... |

Bondo is correct. We've changed out quite a few over the past few years. You can keep the gauges and controls and use them on the new engine. |
