The i.d. tag says Montgomery Ward serial #-55X601395 Model GG9002A. Can any buddy tell me what the mix ratio is and do i use reg marine two stroke oil?   |

Go with 24:1 with TCW-3 oil (today's standard marine oil). Also check that the carb float is either brass or coated with fuel proof dope. If not don't use ethanol as it will eat the coating causing the float to become soaked in fuel and remain open allowing fuel to flow out the carb when motor is not running. Made by Gale so some parts are available from OMC or interchange with Johnson, Evinrude motors of that era. |
