81 Mariner 40BE fuseblower

My problem is it keeps blowing the main fuse as soon as I put one in. I've checked wiring for cracks and checked all connections. I own two Mariner service manuals but neither has my wiring diagram. The trouble shooting in books assume fuse is good and only check for faulty components. Any help is appreciated.Thanks
