I have a 1972 9.6hp seaking VWB27209 by wards, looking for a lower end seal kit Is this the same motor as a 1972 Chrysler 9.9hp ? will a FK-1065 seal kit work? |

Without seeing everything, I would say yes as chrysler hated to change anything. I've been working them since 1976 and only ever saw one style early low profile chrysler lower unit. They messed with the mid range and the big ones, but your pretty safe here. If you post in "CHRYSLER", Gramn may have the model break down for you, he has quite a library. |

Look at the chart to see if your model is a Chryler. It may be a Gale too? This is the best place to find out info on old SeaKing motors. Click on link, then select your brand on the left side. You can find out more about your model at this site. Repair manuals are available at this site too... http://www.discount-marine-parts.com http://www.discount-marine-parts.com Try Evinrude or Johnson parts too! They work with this motor.Don't ask shops for SeaKing parts, they;ll look at you crosseyed. Ask for parts from Evinrude and Johnson that are comparable. You may have to take the part in to get a perfect fit. |
