My brother just bought this boat and it has a small outboard on it. The only id tag we can find is below the body of the motor, on a copper tag. It reads sears roebuck co. now does this mean its made by them? or just sold through them? There are a couple of numbers ,the first is the serial number -220150 second is 217-58880 and the only word i can read is "order" something. Can anyone tell me anything about this motor? It's not very big, i guess maybe a 5 horse.

Sold through them, made by Eska with Tecumseh engine. I have just bought a 217-58882 in Sydney Aust. so guess yours is the same - a Hanimex 7.5hp yr 1974. Go to www.discount-marine-parts.com and all will be revealed. Also called a Sears Ted Williams Gamefisher. rgds Rob
