I'm working on a Johnson 115hp (1975), just put in new rings and piston as it overheated, everything looks good in the engine, looked for melted wires and repaired, at some time the trigger and power pack was replaced, the problem is it starts and runs fine for`a few seconds but then stops dead as if the timing altered but there was no movement on the trigger advance lever and it did not seize in the engine as you can turn the flywheel straight away. Hope someone can help thanks.Scotfree |

Put a timing light on it to see if it is an ignition fault when it quits. |
