Just bought a 1962 Skagit 25 Express w/ 292 Interceptor w/ dual side draft carbs. Runs good & Strong. However, the oil dipstick is definily after market and I suspect that it is too short. It measures 16.5 inches from oil pan end to bottom of handle. Anyone know what the proper length should be? Thanks, R.Augur |

What you can do, Robert--since this is an oddball marine conversion--is to get ALL the oil carefully removed, then add 6 quarts, run it, and see where it comes up to. Jeff |

Actually, that takes a bit of work! You have to get ALL of the oil out or get tricked. Jeff |
