Just bought a 1962 Skagit 25 Express w/ 292 Interceptor w/ dual side draft carbs. Runs good & Strong.
However, the oil dipstick is definily after market and I suspect that it is too short. It measures 16.5 inches from oil pan end to bottom of handle. Anyone know what the proper length should be?

What you can do, Robert--since this is an oddball marine conversion--is to get ALL the oil carefully removed, then add 6 quarts, run it, and see where it comes up to.

Actually, that takes a bit of work! You have to get ALL of the oil out or get tricked.
