Hello to everybody,
I'm new on the forum, happy to find it. i'll directly post my question:
I'm trying to identify the following engine:
Cover plastic: Volvo Penta 5.7 GI
Model: 57FAPLKD (Ford?)
Serial: T1300XX?
Drive: OMC
age: 11/12 years
Boat is in Spain, and need parts for the engine, like piston rings, bearings, gaskets...
Where are this parts available?. Ford, GM, Volvo, other??

Chevrolet (GM) engine has distributer at the rear of the engine, has water circulation pump that mounts in front of timing cover with 4 bolts holding it to block. Ford engine has distributer at front of engine and water circulation pump mounts directly to timing cover on front of engine with water passing through timing cover into block. Unless the boat has freshwater closed cooling system with antifreeze you will need marine head gaskets. Most other internals are heavy duty car and truck parts. |
