I have a 1955 Chris Craft that has been converted to a Ford 292 Interceptor. The sediment bulb (which apperars to be attached to the fuel pump) is mounted to the block upside down - the glass bulb is on top of its fuel intake/outflow casting. This seems unusual to me. The sediment bulb sets higher than the fuel outlet from my gas tank. When the boat is not used for 4 or 5 days the sediment bulb empties - I assume by gavity back into the fuel tank, making which makes it difficult to start engine. The bolts holding the sediment bulb casting to the block are offset, so it appears the casting could not be rotated 180 degrees. If my gravity backflow theory is correct, whats the cure?

Also, my block has been rebored thirty thousands over......what would be its new hoursepower rating?
