Hello
We have a 1947 grey marine engine with carburetor problems. Boat is out, engine is out, ready to be worked on.
Carbs redone ages ago from updraft to downdraft.
Still doesn't work right. Can you steer us to a local place or books to read or parts to buy to
help us? We're in Central New York State.
Any help is much appreciated.

Carbueretor rebuild kits are available. You will need to detirmine what carb you have, probably a Zenith. There should be a small tag on the carb with the model number. One source for carb kits is The Carburetor Shop... and there are others.
We have Gray Marine Manuals for sale.
