My block has 1923 stamped on rear of casting, how many years was this engine produced?,are parts available for complete rebuild?,my serial number is B4310, are manifolds still made for this?. Thanks |

Kramer,
I believe that engine is based on the Continental L-Head Y-91 engine. Internal parts will be available as Continental parts. I don't know what years it was built.
Marine water pump, starter, carburetor, distributor, etc are available from aftermarket manufacturers. A marine gasket set is not available as far as I know.
Also I don't think anyone sells a manifold for the Sea Scout 91. Various companies will custom fabricate manifolds, but they are expensive.
A smart thing to do might be to start hunting for a "spare" engine.... if you are going to run one of these you might want a spare for parts.
