Hi All, I have come across a Fireball v8CH220 in a boat that I haven't Id'd yet. Ser # is Y52878. Any way to trace the year of the engine? Thanks! |

That motor was built after 1964 up to 1967. 1967 was the the last year for that AMC block. does the motor have the rear mounted 2bbl carb or is the intake manifold an automotive center mounted carb. I have the supplement pages for this Eng .

They contain the tune-up spec's and serial numbers and how to adjust the float settings etc. also gives the different HP rating's there is an additional eng which is not mentioned in the standard GM-2089 maint manual. it is the same block and heads but only "287" CID
bore 3-3/4" and stroke 3-1/4" send me your e-mail address and I can scan these 4 pages and send them to you. I don't think they will fit on this post block. |
