I have a 97, nautique, gt40, 351 ford PCM;
after 15 minutes or so (in an intermintent fashion,) it cuts out and starts again in less than a second, just like nothing has happened.} No sputtering or
missing, it\'s just like you pulled the throttle to neutral and then put
it back. Gas filter is now clean and no water in the line, all checked
yesterday. Any ideas.......waz an amazing engine until now.

definately. sounds like coil is getting hot. ie. to much resistance. if it has the protech injection/ignition combo, check the breakers on the back of the motor

I have a 98 nautique with the same motor and had the same problem. I spoke with a pcm mechanic and he said with the years 96, 97, 98 there was a problem with the small fuel line inside the fuel control cell bursting. I checked it out and bingo. You might want to take a look at it.

I have a 1998 Ford 351 PCM GT-40 and the ignition fires intermittently while starting. When the key is turned to start it does nothing 9 out of 10 times. Only occasionally will it will fire. When it fires it always starts. Any ideas what can be causing this?
