My 1998 gt40 engine would only crank after repeated attemts turning the key in the ignition. I decided the least expensive first step was to change the starter assist solenoid. This did not change the problem, except now it won't start at all, even when it cranks over. I replaced the original unit with no improvement. There is no spark at the plugs now. I'm wondering if there is some kind of circuit breaker or switch I may have tripped when changing the unit. |
